This week’s writing festival is a showcase of the July 2016 winning TV PILOT screenplays. Plus, a Fan Fiction screenplay from the TV show “Star Trek”, and 1 winning short screenplay performance reading.

They will be performed by some of the top actors working in Toronto today.

Here are the details of the screenplays being performed:

Short Screenplay: Bowling for Concubines, by Vanessa Marlowe

Genre: Mockumentary, Comedy

Synopsis: Investigative reporters, Jean Burbank and Robert Ibsen, explore the highly controversial game of Bowling for Concubines in this satirical mockumentary. Involving bowling balls and actual human concubines as pins, B.F.C. forces a nation to question its own morals. Should fun come at any cost? Some say yes. These questions and more will be answered via variously dubious testimonies.

Fan Fiction: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine “Power Loss” by Jennifer Renner
